Supervision of truancy students by a probation officer

Abstract

Current studies show that young people are more and more socially unadjusted due to personality and environmental factors. Truancy is also included in the concept of social pathology. A family court may decide to establish a probationary supervision over a juvenile delinquent. Probation officer plays the role of a coordinator of services working for a minor. This article is a theoretical and empirical. Its purpose is to determine the role of a probation officer for a truancy student. It outlines the problems of truancy, their definitions, causes, types and effects and the methods and techniques of probation, reports linking him with a ward and its environment, as well as the successes and failures resulting from the cooperation. It also describes the results of empirical research conducted among probation officers.
