Abstract

The article focuses on the role of Socrates as an educator in the view of the Czech phenomenologist Jan Patočka. Philosophy of education consist of exposition of the particular ontological categories (movement and shock). The starting point is the Socratic question, which aims to realize the uncertainty and problematics of the world. However, this negative aspect of philosophizing allows us to rise beyond transcendence, we cross the world we become ourselves.
