Abstract

The article concerns Andrzej Potocki, professor of sociology, who passed away in 2018 – his academic background, interdisciplinary approach to research work and the research workshop he developed. Professor Potocki dealt with the sociology of religion, the sociology of education and upbringing, as well as pastoral theology and catechetics. He skillfully combined his research interests, which was largely due to his theological education and the degrees he had acquired in the field of sociology. He conducted field research in the Bieszczady Mountains.
