Abstract

The article attempts to characterize the transformation of the architecture of Dominican monasteries in Silesia in the post-Tridentine period with regard to their new relation to urban space. Describing the reconstruction of their cloisters and churches from those times, it specifies how the order accepted the council's recommendations concerning the design and visual prominence of the facades of churches.
