Twelve respondents participated in a pilot study completed in 2016. In-depth interviews were conducted with people with physical disabilities. None of the respondents had been previously married. For most of the respondents, marriage is an important value in life, some of them would be willing to be in informal relationships. Being aware of their own limitations, some of them indicated that he/she would rather be in a relationship with an abled person, but very often they emphasized the significant role of love in the process of making decisions about getting married or being in a non-marital relationship. Although respondents are active people (working, studying) and they verbalize the desire to be in relationships, in their voices echoed the feeling of loneliness.
