Abstrakt

Artykuł proponuje interpretacyjną rekonstrukcję funkcji pojęcia Nowej Ewangelizacji w wybranych tekstach czterech kolejnych papieży, traktując je jako pojęcie graniczne funkcjonujące między teologią fundamentalną, pastoralną i społeczną. Autor wskazuje, że za pontyfikatu Jana Pawła II termin ten służył głównie jako kategoria mobilizacyjna, mająca na celu ożywienie misyjnego zapału Kościoła. W nauczaniu Benedykta XVI wyraźniej uwidacznia się wymiar teologiczno-epistemiczny tej idei, związany z relacją między wiarą a rozumem oraz problemem prawdy. W ujęciu Franciszka na pierwszy plan wysuwa się wymiar egzystencjalny i performatywny, związany ze świadectwem, miłosierdziem i wychodzeniem ku peryferiom. Tekst formułuje ostrożną hipotezę dotyczącą początkowych akcentów pontyfikatu Leona XIV, wskazując na możliwość społeczno-strukturalnej rekontekstualizacji tej idei. Ostatecznie publikacja definiuje Nową Ewangelizację jako pojęcie graniczne, którego przyszłość zależy od zachowania równowagi między teologiczną precyzją a społeczną relewancją.
