Abstract

One of the most urgent educational challenges in the context of the climate and ecological crisis is education with regard to the climate. It is now linked to education for sustainable development, global education and consumer education. Climate change is contributing to inequality and the exacerbation of social injustice, hence the need to simultaneously counteract the loss of biodiversity and the climate crisis as well as their social consequences. By opening up to current, global problems, pedagogy can shape the philosophy of upbringing and education, influence the  educational policy, school programs, etc. Ecological humanities, also thanks to pedagogy, can create the perspective of changing contemporary paradigms into those in which the non-instrumental value of non-human beings and the need for integral care for the entire biosphere will be more clearly noticed. The article will present the recommendations of the Round Table in the field of climate education in Poland.
