Abstract

The article presents the barriers on the path to post-conventional levels of morality and cognition. At the beginning it shortly describes the concept of postformal cognition development and post-conventional moral development. Then the article shows the main barriers in the development of post-conventional levels of morality and cognition. At the end the author opts for an integral approach to education as a way of overcoming the barriers to post-conventional consciousness.
