Abstract

Due to the threats resulting from environmental pollution, which are perceived at present and will only be more persistent in the future, it is justified to have the public informed – at various levels of activity – of the necessity (and possibilities) of care for our planet. The article touches upon the relatively new issues regarding introduction of pro-ecological actions into the career guidance practice. Because of the interchangeable use of certain key – from the point of view of this study – terms in the colloquial language, the first part provides terminological explanations. The second part presents exemplary pro-ecological undertakings which may be launched within occupational counselling activities – the focus is on programmes offered by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
