Abstract

To the east of the village of Berezowiec (in the Korelichy region, near Grodno, Belarus), on the Servech River, there is a castle hill listed in the register of monuments. Archaeological research conducted in 2013‐2015 revealed a brick structure from the first half of the 16th century, layers with fire remains, and changes in the layout of the castle courtyard during the time of the Radziwiłł family in the first half of the 17th century. The exceptional material finds, such as silver coins, jewelry, clothing and footwear fragments, weapons, tools, household items, stove tiles, glassware, window glass, as well as toys and game artifacts, and imported fragments of vessels and lead seals, attest to the elite role of the place and its inhabitants.
