Abstract

The Second Vatican Council, which initiated strong changes in the life and understanding of the Church, did not forget about the concept of mission. In its area, it also postulated a refreshed reading of the meaning and methods of conducting missionary activity. One of the important effects of the Council, in which the novelty of the proposed effects is noticeable, is the norm of subjectivity encompassing the concept of mission. It has become an important element, shaping the postconciliar documents of the Church, as well as the area of interest of the papal teaching, following the Second Vatican Council. Focusing on the person and their needs, both on the sender and recipient of the evangelizing message, is an important stage in the missionary service of the Church.
