Abstract

The aim of the article is to discuss aspects that affect employee satisfaction and determine their career choices – reasons for working in a given company or reasons for leaving. These aspects were analyzed based on the results of the research on employees of Wirtualna Polska Media company. The study was conducted to determine EVP – unique values offered to employees by the employer. The results of the study were compared with reports on employees’ expectations on the Polish labor market. Based on the analysis of the research results and industry reports, the conclusion is that it is salary that has the greatest impact on the job satisfaction. Employees also expect opportunities for development and self-realization – failure to recognize this need may result in looking for a new job. Noticeable changes in the approach of employees to employers were brought about by the pandemic, affecting the wider use of remote and hybrid work, but also broadly understood work flexibility.
