The concept of a personal city directs our attention to places that are important to us, but also to the bonds and relationships created within them. It is important for many reasons. First of all, it is extremely useful in researching big cities, which our interlocutors usually do not know in their entirety. Therefore, quite often, as researchers, we receive opinions and attitudes that take into account our feelings towards specific fragments of urban reality. The text is an attempt to synthetically present selected excerpts from a research conducted among Praga Północ District artists regarding how they perceive the district space and how they understand the categories of „own” and „stranger”.
