Abstract

The article analyzes the political dimension of home education, proving its connection with the liberal understanding of politics (so-called constrained politics). The author starts by showing two ideal types of democratic politics (constrained/liberal vs. unconstrained/totalitarian) and then presents the related education models. Throughout the analysis, he proves that home education fits only within the educational model characteristic of a constrained vision of politics, constituting one of the fuses of a democratic politics based on realistic anthropology.
