Abstract

In 2025, the National Institute of Local Government organised a training course for local administration staff entitled “Local government and grassroots citizen control through access to public information – practical issues”. The training program was based on the results of research conducted by scholars from the Institute of Political Science and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. Six months after the training, an evaluation survey was conducted among its participants. The results showed that the vast majority of participants reported an increase in knowledge and had gained the specific competencies necessary for the correct application of the provisions of the Act regulating access to public information. The survey also identified areas of deficit.
