Simultaneous disproportionate shot of two aspects: the integrity and transcendence of the human person happen to endanger a misconception either about individualism or totalism. The key is to create an integrated theory of the ontological foundation and an appreciation of both directions of the relationship: society-unit and unit-society. Such rooted relational, personal subject within social structures, allows the realization of self and cultivating the inner life in close relation to the outside world. The article presents the most important issues related to the integral concept of the human person out of two harmonious statements of Karol Wojtyla and Margaret S. Archer.
