The social threats of subjectivity in conditions of change

Barbara Galas

Abstract

The Solidarity movement brought the social changes in the Central-Eastern Europe. It changed and opened human consciousness destroying the stereotypes regarding the old social order and building the new socialhabitus in such difficult crisis conditions. These rapid changes brought totally chaos and destabilisation, breaking down the previous rools of social life in the society. It caused the deep crisis of values and normativity. Such a state is called anomie. In the long time it brings people the feeling of lost and helplessness, threat and alienation, increasing distrust, and finally could break down the basis of identity and subjenctivity. The anomic pragmatism that's what marks this specific kind of social space. It creates some specific conditions for the process of socialisation and brings some important questions, especially according to identity and subjectivity.
