Contemporary large families – self-organisation for fulfilling the needs

Abstract

The article is an introduction to the analysis of organizational activities of large families. On this basis, one can review the most important needs of these families. Another information can be provided with an overview of topics discussed on the forums. Intensifying international cooperation of large family associations enables the exchange of experiences and solutions in pro-family policy. At the end of the article some interviews with Hungarian family organizations are quoted, indicating the crucial role of the family (especially large) in the transferring identity and culture.
