I conducted these test in 2011 in a group of 882 respondents, in which there were 508 women and 374 man and 456 high school students in Kalisz and 426 university stu-dents in Poznan. In the opinion of the majority of the respondents, human dignity is a valuable and important value for which they would be willing to sacrifice other values and even their dignity, in their opinion, human life would lose its meaning and purpose. Dignity, in their opinion, is a guarantee of freedom, independence and self-esteem of every human being, it facilitates proper relations with other people. Most respondents say that everyone should defend their dignity against various threats. At the same time, he should accept and respect the dignity of after people. Some respondents value their own lives the most, so they would not sacrifice it in defense of their people. They would not sacrifice their own lives to save their loved ones lives.
