Abstract

Social teaching constitutes an important dimension of the magisterium of the Church.
It refers to the rich and complex social, economic and cultural reality. The teaching the contemporary also leans on history. In this matter, in the Polish environment, we find a great influence of A. Hlond's social teaching. The presented article reports some aspects of his social doctrine. From the rich social content arises four questions, which according to the author can refer to today's reality:
1. The problem of engaging Christians in social life;
2. The axiological dimension of the family in its relationship with man and with the community;
3. The theme of the nation as the environment of man's development;
4. The question of social welfare of the people.
