Abstract

Peace was one of the major concerns of Pope Paul VI. has this main goal he already stated in his first message “Urbi et Orbi”. Strengthening the global He dedicated all his travels and many of his encyclicals and adhortations to peace (e.g.: Ecclesiam suam, Populorum progressio, Mense maio, Evangelii nuntiandi). has he also created the Pontifical Commission “Iustitia et Pax”. The main task this commission is above all the inspiration and support of the activities of the laity for peace and justice. Since 1968, January 1 has been World Peace Day throughout the Church celebrated. On this day the special message of the Pope will be published. Everyone World Peace Day has its leitmotif showing important educational task.
