Abstract

The article deals with the problem of the relationship between private Marian revelations and revelation in Jesus Christ and the attitude of the Church in this regard. This is the theme that perhaps arouses so much enthusiasm how many difficulties. The task of private revelations is not to change or add something to the gospel, but in its actualization; in drawing attention to signs of the times, which the Church should perceive and exploit for a more effective realization of the mission entrusted to her by Christ. Even in the case of confirming the authenticity of the revelation the Church obliges no one, except those who have received it, to believe in the message which derives from it. The fact, therefore, of private revelations always remains an open question, ad except for whom they were granted.
