Abstract

In the Church's social doctrine, the family is a fundamental value for the human person and for the various communities. Analyzing the importance of the family for the human person one must to underline that it is the proper environment of life and of the realization of man first of all in the moral field. Then analyzing the meaning of the family for other communities, in particular for the national community, it must be recognized that the family itself is the source of existence e of the dynamism of the national team. Taking into consideration this meaning of the family one must undertake the care of the protection of the family in the contemporary world. This protection can be achieved in several ways. Undoubtedly the Church implements the protection in the „Charter of the Rights of the Family”. The Charter from one part defines the fundamental truths about the family, the other part codifies the fundamental rights of the family and protects its functioning and its value for the person and for the various communities.
