Abstract

The axiology of marriage and family is based on such core values as love, justice, freedom, truth, peace,
and solidarity. Saint John Paul II put emphasis on these values both in the theology of marriage and family. He believed
these values to be essential. Human gender is biologically determined at conception; it can be either male or
female, therefore, a woman is the sense of masculinity, and a man is the sense of femininity. The purpose of marriage
is love each other and bring new lives into the world, and, consequently, care for and raise the new generation.
Life is the greatest value, and parenthood is a special, joyful dignity. The values followed by the married couple and
family make their relationship stronger and are further carried over into the social life of the Nation and the State.
