Abstract

The article discusses the issue of the Christian identity of Poles in the teachings of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.
The paper, referring to the teachings of the Primate of the Millennium, reflects on such topics as what it
means to be a Christian and how the Catholic identity influences family, social and national life. It also puts emphasis
on issues related to such upbringing of the young generation that they take responsibility for their private and social
lives in the spirit of Christian values. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the universal message of Cardinal
Stefan Wyszyński’s teachings in these areas.
