Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze changes in the perception of the phenomenon of family and marriage taking place in contemporary Ukraine in the 20th century. It is about their connection with the most important historical events in the 20th and early 21st centuries (the fall of the Russian Empire, the creation of the USSR, the Great Famine, World War II, the declaration of independence, the period of war with Russia) – how the perception of family, marriage and wedding-family relations has changed in Ukraine over the last 100 years. Thus, the text of the article will raise the issue of the dynamics of liberalization of the perception of concepts such as family, marriage and wedding, in legal, cultural and social terms. What is meant here (primarily) is the reference to the introduction of the concept of partnerships. Then, an attempt to change family law in connection with Russia's military aggression will be described.
