Abstract

In recent years the paternal presence in a child’s life and the role associated with it is more and more emphasized. the article focuses on man as a father. the essence of fatherhood has been presented on the basis of literature. Being a father gives more importance to the emotional sphere of a man. It is relevant for the father’s participation in a child’s life. this in turn translates to who the father is for his own child and how he affects the child’s personality. the article also refers to late fatherhood. this phenomenon is increasingly common in the modern family. It is assumed that one can speak of late fatherhood when a man is over 35 and has a baby. What kind of fatherhood is it? It has its positive and negative aspects and undoubtedly it is different in every case. It is postulated that it also become mature fatherhood.
