Abstract

Family is a basic space for shaping a young person. The family is today the most important alternative form of child custody. Requires special attention and interest, especially those whose purpose is to provide support and assistance. Therefore, social work is becoming an important character as a form of support and help for foster families. The article presents an empowerment perspective, which is the foundation of solid social work and the desired social worker's activity. Bypassing them as a guide to working with a foster family is the closure of social work in standard forms of help, focused on problems rather than family resources. There are then blockades that hinder the wider perception of reality as a surrogate family. Meanwhile, relativity in social work has a strong influence on the most important person in the family and provides a guarantee of good cooperation.
