Abstract

Addictions of various kinds are becoming the dominant disease of our times. Addictions that indirectly harm human life are especially dangerous. Forms of addiction to substances available legally are widely known and considered very harmful for a very long time. Such poison is ethyl alcohol, all kinds of legal highs, cigarettes (also electric ones) and drugs. The harmfulness of psychoactive substances to the human body is well known and obvious. The whole society grapples with the effects of addiction, suffering huge economic and social losses. And yet, at the state level, little or even opposite action is taken, aimed at building a sober and thus strong and wise society. Contemporary man, embedded in the culture of consumerism, turns to things and their pleasures rather than people, which I deeply regret.
