Abstract

The article examines the nature and evolving role of the modern university in contemporary society. It highlights the tensions between traditional academic ideals and the pressures of political, economic, and cultural transformation. By analyzing the responsibilities of universities and the challenges they face, the text proposes a reconsideration of their mission and identity in order to respond effectively to present-day expectations.
