Historia i kierunki rozwoju badań jakościowych za granicą i ich wymiar rozwojowy

Abstrakt

Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ukazanie zarówno historii badań jakościowych, jak i współczesnego kierunki ich rozwoju. Metody jakościowe przeszły dość długa drogę ich ewolucji i nadal ulegają przeobrażeniom. W pierwszej części zostały ukazane fazy ich rozwoju, począwszy od okresu wczesnych badań klasycznych, poprzez okres tworzenia się oryginalnych tradycji i okres sprawdzenia podstaw i paradygmatu badań, aż do okresu nowej systematyzacji metod, procedur i standardów. Taki podział jest stosunkowo mało znany i stanowi pewna nowość. Przez to jest cenny. Ta część zawiera szczegółowy przeglądowy materiał.
Druga cześć zawiera ustalenia metodologiczne. Ukazano czym są w swojej istocie badania jakościowe na podstawie literatury przedmiotu, zwracając baczna uwagę na ich charakterystyczne cechy stanowiące o ich niepowtarzalnym charakterze oraz dokonana klasyfikacji metod jakościowych, według mniej znanego autora. W artykule podkreślono również role badacza metod jakościowych, różniąca się znacznie od tej w przypadku wyboru metod ilościowych. Całość zachęca do przyjrzenia się dorobkowi metodologicznemu perspektywy jakościowej i docenienie ich unikatowych walorów.
