Abstrakt

W celu wsparcia rozwoju polskich i słowackich regionów przygranicznych wdrożono, po przystąpieniu obu krajów do UE, Program „Interreg Polska – Słowacja”. Jednym z priorytetów programu jest ochrona i wykorzystanie wspólnego polsko-słowackiego dziedzictwa kulturowego i przyrodniczego dla rozwoju współpracy transgranicznej. W ramach Interregu od 2004 r. z funduszy strukturalnych UE dofinansowane są wspólne polsko-słowackie projekty realizowane w wybranych powiatach położonych w województwach: śląskim, małopolskim, podkarpackim (po stronie polskiej) oraz Žilinskom kraji, Prešovskom kraji i Košickým kraji (po stronie słowackiej). Kolejne edycje Interregu cieszą się coraz większym zainteresowaniem w Polsce i na Słowacji oraz uznaniem ekspertów, a efekt transgraniczny jest coraz lepiej realizowany.
