    Catholic Education in the Situation of the Coronavirus Pandemic (2020) on the Example of the Schools and Universities in Poland

    Abstract

    The Catholic Church carries out the mission of educating, among others, by schools and universities. The coronavirus outbreak in 2020 has disrupted the normal functioning of many institutions. The study presents Polish law guidelines concerning education and universities, especially in the context of the transition to online teaching due to sanitary restrictions. Subsequently, the study presents selected legal decisions and indications of the Catholic Church's shepherds in Poland in an epidemic situation. Church activities have shown adaptability to the pandemic situation. Internet communication tools were used in remote school and academic teaching.
