Abstract

The article present different reasons of living a lonely life of a person in a contemporary Polish society. The main aim of this subject is exemplify opposed causes of that style of life and answer the question: whether singlism is determined by a rational choice or is a result of unfortunate circumstances such as: death of wife or husband, divorce or walk out on loved person.
