Abstract

In May 1932, the Salesians of Don Bosco bought a junior high school from the city authorities in Ostrzeszów, which they ran until the outbreak of World War II, and also after its end. In the records of the State Archives in Poznań, there are reports of visits carried out by the Board of the Poznań School District in the years between 1933 and 1939. The analysis of these documents allows for a fairly detailed reconstruction of some threads related to the functioning of the facility, such as the issue of the expansion and reconstruction of the building and its equipment. In addition, these reports provide knowledge about teachers and students, as well as teaching and educational processes. The following considerations supplement the current knowledge on the subject of this educational institution, which is more important for Ostrzeszów and the closest vicinity of the instructional and educational institution.
