The dignity of the sacrament of confirmation "on the way" to the marriage. An order or a mature decision of faith? Legal and theological context

Abstract

The present article relates to the disposal of sewage. 1065 § 1 The Code of Canon Law, which requires the adoption of the sacrament of Confirmation of the Catholics who want to enter into the sacrament of the marriage. The author has developed an article based on open questions - maneat questio - the shape of this regulation, not giving clear answers to his conclusions, but provoking or inviting to the necessary scientific discussion and, consequently, to the good pastoral resolutions. It is reflected in so close connection of canon with the practical theology. This first becomes a source of applications for the solutions of the second. In this way, the first part is a presentation of the evolution of law regulations on the basis of canon law either universal or particular and presents a canonical and theological trials to explain the operation of the relevant canon of fairness as well as certain risks of its application to the specific cases. The second, which is a consequence of the questions raised in the first part, relates directly to the opinion of canonists and theologians attempt to justify taking a broad spectrum of the candidate's age for the Confirmation.
