Abstract

A full understanding of the last book of Vatican II's liturgical reform, Martyriologium Romanum, requires an understanding of the editorial process that led to its present form. It was a very intensive work to renew the awareness of the different kinds of holiness in the Church. It has been shown that the Church has taught for centuries about the holiness of the Church and its members.
