This contribution highlights the problem of the evangelization of today's youth in basis of the contents and methodology of Don Bosco's preventive system. The first part demonstrates how Don Bosco's educational system was born from the need to evangelize young people of the nineteenth century. The second describes some current cultural changes and highlights their influence on the mentality of contemporary youth. This situation lies at the origin of the challenges you face educators and evangelizers places the youth world. The third part has some conditions necessary to fulfill so that the preventive system – re-read today – can serve as the inspiration and the instrument of evangelization of the young people of the third millennium.
