Abstract

The Marian euchology of the Easter season has not improved much even after the post-conciliar edition of the Roman Missal of Paul VI. Only with the 1986 edition of the Congregation for Divine Worship of the  Collectio Missarum de Beata Maria Virgine, the gap of Marian euchology in the Easter season was filled. To celebrate Marian masses in this liturgical season, the Collectio presents four complete forms. For  the reasons of its "novelty" and above all for its theological importance, the euchology of this liturgical period of the Collectio seems particularly substantial to us. Above all, it is interesting how the  euchology of the Easter season expresses the presence of Mary in the paschal mystery of Christ. We have set ourselves the aim of this article to give an answer to this question and to achieve this we have made the study of the euchology of four forms of the Easter season of the Collectio. As a result of our study we were able to indicate what seem to us to be the main themes of Marian doctrine present in the Easter euchology of the Collectio, on the basis of which the Virgin Mary is seen and celebrated as inextricably linked to the Easter mystery of her Son: What inserts Mary of Nazareth into the divine work of  our salvation is her faith and obedience to the will of God. Through faith Mary  enters the work of redemption and thanks to this virtue she participates in it up to its culminating moment the resurrection. And precisely the faith which characterized Mary's attitude from the beginning of her participation in the salvific mysteries and which finds its culmination of exaltation in the resurrection. Precisely this faith becomes an example for the Church and for every believer, in order to enter the paschal mystery of Christ to participate in its fruits. Mary's specific role in the historia salutis is her divine motherhood. By always making her the mother of Jesus the Son of God, after the Easter events, Mary also becomes the mother of the children of God born of the grace of redemption. Exercising her maternal role in the work of salvation, she continues it every time the Church makes the paschal mystery present in the celebration of the sacraments which regenerate to the new life of grace. The only example that the Church - virgin and mother - has for carrying out this maternal task of hers is the Madonna - Virgin and Mother of the Redeemer. Within the context of the paschal mystery there is also the Pentecostal event where Mary is present as the depository of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Because of her specific relationship with the Third Divine Person, the Most Holy Virgin has become the model for the Church in welcoming and being guided by the Holy Spirit.
