Abstract

Among the new communities born in France after the Second Vatican Council, the Community of the Beatitudes has become one of the most original. As a private association of the faithful under diocesan law with legal personality, it wishes to lead a life of contemplation and sharing, like the primitive Christian Church described in the Acts of the Apostles, in order to participate actively in the mission of    the People of God. The article also presents the origin of the Beatitudes with biography of its founder – Ephraim, the path of development and the Statutes of the Community.
