Abstract

This short text explains the ideas that gave rise to the synoptic tables (following later) dedicated to Don Bosco and his times. They are considered a valid tool ready to help those who need to deepen their knowledge of Don Bosco. In Poland, where the Salesians are experiencing a moment of strong quantitative and qualitative growth of personnel and works, the synoptic tables can be useful in preparing a valid biography of Don Bosco, in the effort to indicate Don Bosco as a model of holiness, in teaching in philosophical and theological studentates, in the formation of the laity and in the promotion of Salesian youth spirituality.
