In this article, entitled "Salesian benefactors among the Polish clergy in the years 1898-1938", the personalities of two bishops and ten diocesan priests were presented who, with their generosity, contributed to the birth of fifteen Salesian religious houses in Poland. Certainly the number of houses is such as to form a separate province. The contribution of these benefactors was undoubtedly great. Suffice it to say that thanks to them the first three Salesian houses were organized in Galicia (Oświęcim, Daszawa, Przemyśl) and another four houses in the territory of the former Polish Kingdom (Kielce, Aleksandrów Kujawski, Warsaw, Ląd). Two of these eminent personalities have already been declared blessed: ves. J. S. Pelczar – confessor, and priest M. Woźniak – martyr, three candidates for episcopal sees in their respective dioceses: sac. J. Siemiec, sac. I. Lasocki, sac. K. Lubianiec, and four were martyred by Nazi executioners: sac. M. Woźniak, sac. K. Lubianiec, Fr. W. Sarosiek and sac. F. Szczygłowski. The choice of benefactors to present was motivated by a certain duration of their foundations.
