Abstract

The translations of the liturgical books currently used in the respective local churches are one of the most important fruits of the reception of the renewal of the Second Father's liturgy, canan council. The reception of the conciliar liturgical renewal in Poland had to difficult socio-political situation (the repressions of the communist regime) as well as the traditions of the very developed popular piety. Today it can be seen that the prudent way in which the renewal was introduced proved the Polish episcopate. On the one hand, this introduction took into account the Documents of the Apostolic See and, on the other hand, the local criteria. Not without meaning here were also the rather modest possibilities of publishing religious books in what was then Poland. It had taken longer (over 20 years) for the liturgical renewal was carried out. One was aware that a successful introduction of the new liturgical books a corresponding spiritual education of the clergy and the believers required. During this period all liturgical books were correctly translated into Polish and published in good condition. The bishop achieved great merits Franciszek Jop, Chairman of the Liturgical Commission of the Polish Bishops' Conference. and his secretary, Father Franciszek Malaczyński OSB. In recent years some have become: Books (The celebration of infant baptism, The celebration of the wedding ceremony, The church funeral ceremony) improved and reissued.
