Abstract

Salesian work in Poland was linked to parish work, which guaranteed the greater stability of the Salesian presence. The situation changed during the German occupation, and after the Second World Quería. In order to survive, the Salesians took charge of pastoral care even in small parishes where only one confrere worked.
