How to talk about Mary? Vatican Council II did not want to definitively determine subtle theological questions above all the differences between the Christotypical and ecclesiotypical Mariological perspective, even if the latter has found in its documents the full right of citizenship. II fact, that the Council presented the doctrine in the field of Mariology in the chapter of the Constitution Dogmatics on the Church, becomes extraordinarily expressive in the perspective of the apostolate, of the proclamation and of Marian piety if we consider, which dominated from the time of the Council a Christotypical Mariological perspective and consequently determined Marian piety with the denomination of the pieta towards Mary, instead of the pieta on the model of Mary. This perspective allows you to avoid many dangers pushed to the extreme limit, at the same time it indicates Mary present in God's saving plan, both in the mystery of Christ and in the mystery of the Church.
