The article presents a proposition of the educational model for prayer in the materials youth catechetics. The documents! of the Church I ask for an education in prayer as one of the tasks of catechesis. In the first place, the definition of prayer, its genres and forms is recalled. The model of education in prayer contains: education in a personal encounter with God, The education to prayer which develops the moral aspect of the person, the education to prayer ecclesial.
