Salesians in Kutno-Woźniaków (1909-1999) as a Response to the Needs of the Province of St. Stanislaw Kostka

Abstract

In 1938 the Saletian Congregation thanks to the charity of Fr Michał Woźniak he founded a new house on the outskirts of Kutno. Due to the German occupation, the development of the house and aventó after the second world querrá. In 1945 the Salesians founded 1 orphanage and in 1947 the fabric school. Due to the political situation in Poland as well as for the different ones from the Warsaw province, the house oftenb changed its character. After the closure of the fabric school (1949), to defend the Salesian property, in Kutno-Woźniaków was organized Philosophical Studentate (1949-1965), after the novitiate (1965-1972) and subsequently the Post novitiate (1980-1992). For some time it was used as a missionary house popular and for student priests. From 1992 until today there is 1 aspirantate in Rutno-Woźniaków and the house of spiritual exercises. In 1951 the primate of Poland S. Wyszyński also erected the parish. The first chapel under mysterious circumstances caught fire in 1953. In the years 1953-1968 Salesians they built a new church in Woźniaków for the needs of the parish.
