Missionary Activities of Fr. Edward Bielawski (1930-1979) in the Light of His Correspondence

Abstract

Don Eduardo Bielawski was born in Kamionka (Białystok) on February 17, 1930. In 1951 he was he entered the Salesian Society and on 12 December 1957 he was ordained a priest. After 1 order worked as the educator in the minor seminary and the rector of the public chapel in Sokołów Podlaski. He also preached the spiritual exercises! to the parish communities. In the years 1965-1972 it is he was the novice master and then in 1974 he left for the missions in Zaire. Exhausted from work he returned to Poland to undergo treatment. Suddenly he died of a heart attack on August 12, 1979 in Łódź, This article shows 4 years of apostolate and missionary work of Don Bielawski in Zaire in the light of his co-respondence and that of the other confreres. Don Bielawski was the very good man and so it is been remembered by all the faithful and confreres.
