Abstract

In the main altar of the parish church in Skrzatusz there is a Gothic figure of the Sorrowful Our Lady (Pieta). The figure came to Skrrtausz from Mielęcin (Mellentin) in 1575, where since Has been worshiped as miraculous for centuries. The cult of the Merciful Pietä in Skrztatusz made Pilgrimage church known from the local church. Today's baroque church was built between 1684 and 1696 by Poznań Voivode Wojciech Konstanty Breza. Countless miracles and graces that believers have received for centuries thanks to Our Lady of Skrzatusz, as well as the uninterrupted cult of the Miraculous Pieta, gave rise to the coronation of grace Figure the papal crowns. This historic event took place on November 18, 1988. Present Publication presents document with history and cult of Miraculous Figure that accompanied the request for the coronation.
