Abstract

In this article the author demonstrates the way in which the apostolic nuncio in Poland. Achille Ratti, the later Pope Pius XI, came to Warsaw in 1918 at the request of Archbishop Kakowski, to help to organize ecclesiastical structures and to renew the religious life of Poland.
